Description

This model is a simulation of "breakback" type torque wrench which is a wrench that breaks/bends once the required tightening torque is reached.
This print is just for the proof of concept and not for the functionality specially for such a small scale (150mm).
Larger scale model can be functional but with more stiffer rubber bands like the ones used in slingshots and sure it will be limited to lower grade (e.g. 4.6) and smaller size bolts/nuts (not more than M12).
For those who are really using the wrench, you can make benefit of this concept by limiting the torque to the wrench capacity so that the wrench breaks/bends instead of fracture/failure of parts.

Minor changes:
1- Split the pieces for easier printing as many of makers were not able to print the original as intended (Parts are sticking).
2- Opened the fixed jaw same as actual wrench to give way for the moving jaw for installation and dismantling.
3- Adding special edition text

Major Changes:
1- Adding a 3 ply hinge to simulate the breakback torque wrench as explained above.
2- Opening slots for rubber bands.
3- Cleared the way for the moving jaw to fully close like actual adjustable wrench.
4- Remodeled the thread from scratch as a full thread with smooth start and end changing printing orientation and adding a hole for pin fixation.
5- Extended moving jaw length for more engagement with the thread and accordingly robustness.
