Beschreibung
I have made the cutaway model of about several kinds of turbofan engines.
The basic component was simplified from size restrictions of my 3D printer.
Then, it decided to expand each component and to create the actual model which gives structure explanation.
This is the "Fan" model for comparing the feature and configuration of "Propeller".
Although, there are many type of "Fan Blade" and associated parts, this is my imagination model.
The following explainable elements were incorporated at this time.
(1) Fan Blade
Wide Code Laminated Composite Blade having metal leading edge.
Only painting is used for material difference shown.
Central two "Blades" can be removable and assembled by finger.
(2) Fan Disk
having "Dovetail" type slot for blade and attaching apparatus for "Platform Cover".
(3) Platform Cover
This is the simplified cover and attached both end side only.
Actual engine's one is more complicated and attached by using "Spinner Cone" parts.
(4) Fan Case
This is 3 layers configuration.
From inside, Honeycomb acoustic absorption panel, Fan Case and Containment Material Layer (only painted).

Assembly Points
- Standard Skill (such as Drilling, Tapping, Filing, Tightening, Painting and Gluing etc.) is needed and perseverance too.
- Assembly procedure are shown in photos
- Fit check between parts is important.
Total Net Print Time:
Approx. 17HR - (Estimated as case of PLA, 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 40% infill and No raft and support)
Note: When at actual print, each parameter may be adjusted by your experience.
3D printing settings
Raft, Support, Layer Height, Infill: Depending on your experience.
My models were printed by "idbox" using with 0.4 nozzle, 1.75 PLA.
I do hope you enjoy making!!
