Lansky Sharpener - Upgrades

Lansky Sharpener - Third party Stone/Hone Holders and Leather Strop.

I have 6 versions, with more To come in the future.

(NOTE - Version "B" of the Files are for printing upside down without the need for supports, and with recessed text)

1 - Lansky holder for the Venev Diamond Bonded "Dog"(Procyon) size stones, can be purchased online at "Gritomatic". (These are EXCELLENT sharpening stones)

2 - Lansky holder for Leather / Fabric / Balsa strops. Glue a strip of your preferred material onto the bottom of this holder and use as a strop.

3 - Lansky holder for DMD Chinese Diamond Resin bonded Small size stones.(Can be purchased on eBay or AliExpress.

4 - Lansky holder for the Ceramic Rods from the Lansky 4-Rod Turnbox.

5 - Lansky holder for the Spyderco Tri-Angle Ceramic rods. Used with the FLAT side facing down.

6 - Lansky holder for the Spyderco Tri-Angle Ceramic rods. Used with the TRIANGLE side facing down.

PARTS Required for a Hone / Stone Holder:

(NOTE: All metric size M4 parts can be substituted with imperial size 8-32 parts)

2 x M4 Brass Threaded Inserts (Melt-in type) (For the larger 5mm size holes)
2 x M4 Thumb screws (8mm long minimum)

PARTS Required for a Leather / fabric / balsa wood Strop:

(NOTE: All metric size M4 parts can be substituted with imperial size 8-32 parts)

1 x M4 Brass Threaded Insert (Melt-in type) (For the large 5mm size hole)
1 x M4 Thumb screw (8mm long minimum)
Leather / Fabric / Balsa wood cut to size and to glue onto the bottom surface

After assembly, simply use your Lansky original guide rod as you would during normal sharpening with your Lansky hones. If using the Strop, make sure to only strop away from the edge while stropping, not into the edge or you will cut your leather / fabric / balsa.

The Lansky ceramic rods (from the 4-rod turnbox) work well to sharpen certain serrated knives.

10 Feb 2021 - I added stone holders for the Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharpmaker ceramic rods.

22 Mar 2021 - I slightly modified the Spyderco sharpmaker Tri-Angle holders for a better fit.

8 Sep 2021 - I added a second version for each holder to allow printing upside down without supports, with the "LANSKY" name recessed 0.4mm into the holder. File versions "B".
