Beschreibung

This is a vibrating plate. I designed it as an alternative for ultrasound bath as i have been working with samples that require mechanical agitation but cannot resist the formation of cavitation bubbles and would break if exposed to classical sonication bath.
There are two versions, 10 and 15 cm wide. Both use vibrating motors (motors with eccentric loads. Each version has two motors, one oriented horizontally and the other vertically. Using both prevents the formation of static waves and maximize agitation.
The plates are designed to hold standard Bechers or glass petri dishes. To transmit the mechanical vibrations to the glassware i design clamps with a TPU bowstring-like part, adjusted by a long M3 screw. The rigid and flexible parts of the clamp are hold together by small pieces of 3D filament.
The plate base also includes a holder for a lab stand based on 8mm tubes. I will release shortly the files for a printed modular lab stand system i designed, and place the link here. Until then any 7 to 8mm tube based lab stand will be compatible.
Those vibrating plate can also be used with a printed modular holder system as shown in the cover picture. All the elements of that system can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7329310
