Description
This is a collection of interlocking bug body parts. The 5 basic designs right now are
- Ant
- Fly
- Praying mantis
- Scorpion
- Spider
But the real fun of it is that all parts are compatible with each other. You can make crazy monsters with eyes on their feet and mouths on their arms...or whatever you can imagine.
Our kids love them, and can't get enough of the colors and body parts. They are generally anatomically correct, so they are also educational!
You will need to use flexible filament such as TPU to make soft, durable bug parts. The wings, antennae, and legs won't last a minute if made from PLA. The connectors can be made from rigid material or a medium-hard such as Semiflex. These were printed with Ninjaflex and Semiflex on a Flexion Extruder. This extruder allows fast, accurate printing of flexible material.
We'll add more designs later, but feel free to come up with your own designs and add to the kit! Please link back to us so that we can print them too.
