Description

I designed a housing for a 12v Cob light I had on hand; so now I have a very bright work-light. This enclosure required absolutely no support. I may also make a light stand for my desk. As you can see this light is quite a beauty.

Files Cob1 - main body Cob2 - Top cap Cob3&4 - bottom cap holds power cable in firmly.

The Cob light itself is around $3 and it puts out tons of light. I use the same light to illuminate my 3d printer.

I had to replace the E3d nozzle on my Seemecnc Rostock max which was a .4. I decided to replace it with a E3d .5. The net result is that printing is much faster. This model was also printed in Fast mode or .35 layer height. The print is flawless even though the resolution is low. The only tuning parameter with the larger Nozzle I would recommend is a larger outline overlap.
