Description

I modified my cheap work light by Xfinity to be brighter and to use my Makita LXT batteries. To finish it off, the original plastic enclosure and battery mount was replaced with 3D printed parts.

To make the work light brighter, I replaced the original LED module with a low cost 50W COB module. This new COB needed to work with my Makita 18V LXT battery, so new electronics were integrated into the design.

For those interested in part or all the workings, I've included a document describing the design and wiring.

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm 3DFillies red filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.

I hope you can find this design useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
