Oloid Models: They roll and feel great to the touch.

Two interlocking circles, whose centers are on the perimeter of each other, make a rolling object that is called an oloid. The oloid has some interesting properties. If we imagine a line that is tangent to the flat surface it rolls on, we have a convex hull, a 3D oloid, which is playful.

This design focuses on the basic ideas behind an oloid. The two circles can be slided into each other. I have also tweaked them a little so that they will lock with a clicking sound. Two sizes are included: 50 mm and 80 mm in terms of the base circle diameter.

Also included are two whole oloids (50 mm & 80 mm), generated using the OpenScad hull() function, which can be printed with support or in halves.
