Description

It took some time to build a fully printable storage-solution for the main game of settlers (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1238980), but finally here it is. I tried to find a solution that has some flexible parts. There are different variations of hex-pieces you can choose from and I wanted, that my storage is going to fit for most of your choices.

The storage should also work with JAWong's tiles (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26979) and with any compatible bases like the one from Isolt (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1108968). The less high you're tiles are, the more space is left in the box for additional tiles.

The pictures you see are from my first prototype (black top) and the final solution that you can download. The biggest sices you need to print are 19.5 cm x 20.00 cm x 14.4 cm (hight). So make shure you're printerbed is big enough.

If your printerbed is too small to print those pieces, here's an alternative from shocksofmighty that splits some of the parts: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1914044.

These are the parts you need to print for the box:

  • 2 x storage core (If you used self-adhesive-foil to cover the buttom of your tiles or anything that makes them thicker than the original files, print 2 x core (big))
  • 1 x storage piece holder
  • 1 x storage card holder
  • 1 x storage top
  • 1 x storage center (optional: If you used self-adhesive-foil to cover the buttom of your tiles or anything that makes them thicker than the original files, print storage center (big))
  • 1 x storage center top (optional)

The placeholder-parts you have to choose, depend on the tiles you already printed. Check out the picture with the corresponding list to choose the right parts (last two pictures). After printing go on like shown on the pictures to place everithing inside the box. The storage-center-part can be used for additional storage like for parts from other scenarios & variants or for the manual. Good printing then and let me know if there should be some issues.

For transporting the box, make sure that you grab it on the bottom, not the top...

Before printing, please check out the informations unter the printer-settings section below!
