Description
This is, of course a work in progress. It's my take on The FlexMendel which pulls some ideas from TAZ printers, but simplifies things as FlexMendel intended. The build volume is 285mm x 275mm x 270mm. The Z could probably go higher, but that is what I have my marlin firmware set to at the moment. The XY could be bigger if I had a completely flat piece of glass; the mirror I'm using is beveled near the edges, which cuts down on my overall print area.
The extruder assembly I remixed from ffleurey, but I tried to minimize the sagging of the X-Rails by rotating the motor 90 degrees and trying to center the motor's weight over the X-rails as best as I could. It improved things, but right now, I still can only print about 7-8" in the center of the platform (along the X-axis).
For the most part, I simply used 8020 hardware, since I had a bunch of it on-hand.
I put up some of the STL files, but not all of them. I'll try to upload more as I have time (and motivation) to do so. Until then, enjoy!
