Hairy Vase (w/ Source Code)

This is a hairy vase with small unsupported ellipses attached to the main vase body. This is designed to be printed with NO supports and using vase mode. The result is that you get drooping filament strands on the outside of the print.

There are two versions attached. The TWIST version includes a small amount of twist in the hairs. The other non-twist version is the one that I printed.

Please note that this model is definitely NOT WATERTIGHT. Every hair has a hole in the side of the model when printed in vase-mode.

I have also included the OpenSCAD source file, which makes use of an excellent module from user paucoma called "Linear Extrude with Scale as an interpolated function":
