Description

Tic Tac Toe board, pieces, and holders for pieces, scaled for a 160 mm board.

I was looking for a simple project to learn OpenSCAD. My youngest still thinks he can beat everyone so I picked this well known game. My family hates me more each day because he wants to play so often.

If you want a different size board, use the Customizer or OpenSCAD to pick your board size and everything should scale appropriately.

I printed the board and grid separately and super-glued them together. Alternatively, you can print as one piece, optionally changing filament after 1 mm if you want the grid in another color.

You can get by only printing the grid and X / O pieces. I added the bottom board so it's less fragile and we can set on any surface. Also makes it easier to carry around and the holders fit in the board squares.

The X and O STL include just 1 piece. Multiply in your slicer to print as many as you need. I suggest extras if your family picks up their stuff as well as mine.

28 OCT 22 update: per request, added a v2 version of the OpenScad file so the number of grid squares per dimension is configurable.
