Description

This my version of the Wave motion machine base for 3D-printing.
It is inspired by this video by Techmoan and Hughes Wave Motion Machines LLC:
See it here: https://youtu.be/9FRV_a8ZwJ4?si=9_LhHD-U_Fcfqer6

The Inner plate and the cam disc needs to be printed in PETG or other materials that withstands a littlebit more heat than PLA since the motor gets qite hot. The outer shell cab be printed in PLA. I used tree supports on the outer shell.

Threaded acrylic screw to plug the vessel M8: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008896943681.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.249.609e1802RHgtvV

For the vessel you need to cut it so the outer dimmensions is 480mm x 80mm x 40mm to fit. I have built mine with Polycarbonate 4mm and glued it with both the acrylic glue that I have linked to and thick Superglue from Biltema and both was watertight. You need to sand the edges smooth and the dimmensions has to be correct to get it watertight.
I have drilled one fill hole in each end and tapped it with an M8 thread and used a screw with an O-ring to plug the fill hole.

The two fluids is Natusan clear babyoil and pure water with blue foodcoloring added. Fill the vessel with a bit over one third with colored water and the rest with baby oil.
Glue the pivot point to the vessel so that it rests at the base with equal overhangs on both sides.
I have covered the cam disc with some elcrical cloth tape and added a piece of teflon tape at the contact point on the vessel to reduce friction.
