Description
This is a design for a 3D printer using the stepper motors from old CD drives and Arduino. To mount the steppers, you need to cut and bend the original mounting brackets, and glue the leadscrew into the middle of the printed ones. You will also need to come up with some sort of bed and levelling system.
I wasn't happy with the tiny build space offered by most e-waste printer designs out there, so I designed this. It should end up with a build volume of nearly 150mm cubed.
The X gantry is designed to fit an E3D v6 hotend.
Best printed at high resolution, sanded, and epoxy finished. A little lube never hurts, either.
